I have a feeling that when Biden aides like this tweet vicious attacks on the integrity and reliability of journalists who report things they dislike, that's not going to be depicted as an authoritarian assault on a free press.

I'm correct about that, aren't I?
Is there even a single principle that Democratic apparatchiks and their media allies apply consistently regardless of which team benefits? Just one???
I'm not seeing much solidarity expressed by journalists for @CBS_Herridge after this vicious and mean-spirited attack on her integrity and professionalism by the Biden campaign. Why is that?

There’s a vanishingly small number of journalists at mainstream TV and print outlets who don’t feed at the same trough of official sources & groupthink. @CBS_Herridge is one. Therefore - following the lead of the Biden campaign’s attack on her - she now must be destroyed:
There was more diversity of thought and opinion and more questioning of orthodoxies at the standard 1975 Politburo meeting than there is on US cable outlets & in the largest newspapers.

How many Russiagate conspiracy theorists were *ever* challenged or questioned on CNN/MSNBC?
One of the many problems with the US media is that as jobs disappear, young journalists are increasingly deterred from questioning or challenging prevailing media narratives because it can be career-destroying. The overwhelming incentive is to affirm media pieties or stay quiet.

Many people who don't know what unmasking is or when it's permitted and, most of all, don't have the information needed to assess its propriety here, have instantly formed emphatic opinions because of the potential to hurt Biden.

There's no way now to know if it's legitimate:
It's true -- as Obama officials & media allies are yelling -- that unmasking is very common. Trump Admin does it all the time. That it's common doesn't make it right. But: 1) they do have wide discretion & 2) it shows that minimization protections against the NSA are illusory
I'm glad that the call between Kislyak & Flynn got leaked. But, under the law governing classified information, the leaking of that call is one of the gravest crimes there is.

Who did that?
