On 3/18/20 the first case of COVID 19 was diagnosed. May 12 the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) reported 8,572 cases. In Lancaster and Douglas County on the same day 223 new cases were diagnosed. 80% of the persons with COVID 19 are asymptomatic and
tested. So in those two counties alone there are well over 1100 people spreading COVID 19. The latest report says it is spread by talking not just sneezing and coughing and can stay in the air up to 8 hours in area without adequate ventilation. Each one of those 1100 persons
with social distancing and businesses opening backup will infect on average the CDC says if masks aren’t worn and distancing in retail stores and restaurants, 2.3 people. After just 1 day 2565 will be infected, day 5 that will have grown to 31,208... on day 10 if restrictions
are not put in place and people don’t voluntarily home shelter, use masks, practice social distancing, avoid crowds of any size even at Church services the total number infected will have grown over 1.9 million, the population of the state of Nebraska. This is a highly
contagious virus. It is much more deadly than first thought. It is becoming apparent from studies done at UT in Austin, South Korea and China people are not getting enough protective antibodies to prevent a second infection with in months after the first so there IS NO HERD
IMMUNITY. To win this battle we have to isolate it out of existence and hope that a vaccine will work. We are still searching since 1984 for a HIV vaccine so nothing is assured. Reopening Nebraska now was a fools game and the second waive will put the economy of the state,
