Much of what goes wrong in this country arises from the widespread belief that people who use words like "ruddy" and "tommyrot" are born to rule.
According to several of the responses to this tweet, we have no right to criticise the system we were born into. So that scrubs out George Orwell, Tony Benn, Peter Kropotkin, Frederick Engels, Elizabeth Fry, Leo Tolstoy, William Morris, Beatrice Webb, Mohandas Gandhi ....
... Alexandra Kollontai, Bertrand Russell, Vera Brittain, Clement Attlee, William Beveridge, Franklin Roosevelt, Paul Foot, Millicent Fawcett etc etc.
An ability to contest the circumstances of our birth is an essential element of our humanity.
We all have a duty - to ourselves and to others - to see past the culture into which we were born.
This is arguably the central challenge of life. It is a lifelong quest. To learn we must also unlearn.
And, for the record, I would like to point out that I am not a champagne socialist. I am a cider environmentalist.
