A lot of people are being accused of politicising the coronavirus crisis.

But given that the Tories have had an iron grip on power, by virtue of their overwhelming majority, every single second of this emergency, it's hard not to conclude they have sole responsibility!

I am sure the Opposition and other key players would love to be able to exercise a steadying influence, but current Parliamentary arithmetic reduces them to bystanders just like all the rest of us.

We're all lashed to the mast of the ship as the Tories spin the wheel.

It's like watching a building collapse, and knowing that the same company was responsible for...
- choosing location
- testing soil stability
- speccing building materials and standards
- building the thing
- snagging to pick up construction faults
- remedial work
- maintenance
