Yesterday (14th) following the Tamil Genocide Remembrance held in Kumburuppitti, Trincomalee our local government member Mohanadas has been questioned by 4 persons identifying as intelligence personnel. An army patrol has been stationed near his house since. #May18
Further to ongoing threats and intimidation, the latest being directed at Vijeyakala Rajitha our PS Member for Pt. Pedro by Pallai police, Jaffna police attempted to get a court order against tomorrow's commemorations citing the COVID -19 pandemic.

Short while ago TNPF President @GGPonnambalam, Gen. Secretary @skajendren, National Organizer @VISVALINGAMMANI, legal team Sugash, Kandeeban and LG members Parthiban, Thanushan, Kirubakaran, Vishnukanth, Suthakaran and Thamizh Mathi have been ordered to 14-day isolation. #May18
The above have been ordered to 14- day isolation by Jaffna Magistrates Court. This is in light of week long commemorations of Mullivaikkal Tamil Genocide Week organized by the TNPF which culminates on #May18. 
Even as Mullivaikkal commemorations are underway throughout the homeland our Trincomalee District Organizer Sri Gnaneshwaran and District secretary Kugan have been arrested short while ago by Sampoor police and are now being questioned for organizing commemoration events. #May18
Batticaloa Police and military prevented two planned #May18 commemoration events to be held this morning in Puthumukaththuvaaram and Vaakarai, also detaining our Batticaloa District organizer Tharumalingam Suresh.
Sri Gnaneswaran and Kuhan Kanesappillai who were arrested by Sampoor Police on their way to a Tamil genocide commemoration event in Kadatkaraichenai, on three charges including attempting to revive the LTTE, were released on bail today.

On Tuesday, a van carrying our party members on their way to repair roofs damaged by the cyclone were stopped at Pungudutheevu Army Camp and the van checked for an hour. Army personnel continued to follow us even after we were allowed to proceed.

House of Roy Dilaksan—lawyer who appeared on behalf of the TNPF to argue against the qurantining of 11 party leaders and organizers of #May18—was attacked by unknown persons. Another lawyer was threatened recently.
The gates, motorcycle, and doors were slashed with swords by unknown men who entered the premises on Friday night. A junior lawyer related to the case was also threatened by Army in Jaffna town this week. Around 20 Tamil lawyers appeared on behalf of the party in this case.
