Question on Punjabi Hindi lingo
(picked this up while watching the serial - Buniyaad)

In standard Hindi we say - "Mujhe apne aap unse baat karna tha"

But the Punjabi characters say
"Mere ko Aap unse baat karna tha"

They reduce "apne aap" to just "aap"

A related question

What % of the Punjabi Hindu population in undivided Punjab had Punjabi as their mother tongue, as opposed to Western Hindi?

Did a large % of households just speak Hindi at home with a Punjabi flavor?

E.g. Khana khaoge puttar? - is still Hindi and not Punjabi
Another interesting presumably "Punjabi Hindi" expression used in the serial

"Ve to sant vargi insaan hain" (he is a saintly person)

"varg" as we all know refers to category in hindi

Elsewhere, outside of Punjab afaik we typically say -

"Ve to sant Jaise hai"
