When I'm in video conferences people often say: "What's up with the roof behind you?"

During the nutty dotcom days in 1999 I had built an office space with a barrier on tracks that can move to make one room into two. To one side of my Aeron chair also from 1999 is a treadmill.
2/ My home office is a reminder of crazy Internet bubble times when FOMO ruled and seeds of hubris related crashes were being sown. The launch and birthday parties in that era were nuts (but fun tho).

A bigger space is nice when I work on my Toosie Slide!
3/ "I like people admitting they were complete stupid horses’ asses. I’ll perform better if I rub my nose in my mistakes. This is a wonderful trick to learn. Forgetting your mistakes is a terrible error if you are trying to improve cognition. Why not celebrate stupidities!"

4/ "[Gurley] "People discount risk slowly. Like they forget about pain and they forget about layoffs... many of the entrepreneurs today weren’t around in ’99.

[Kara] So they’ve forgotten.

[Gurley]They have no muscle memory of it whatsoever.” google.com/amp/s/25iq.com…
5/ Good judgment comes from experience and often that experience comes from bad judgment. Most of the bad judgment associated with the Dot-Com era was observed by me but some of it was mistakes I made all by myself or as part of a herd. It was fun tho. google.com/amp/s/25iq.com…
6/ "Borders, who never gave up on the [1999 WebVan] idea, is back again with free, same-day grocery delivery."

WebVan 1.0 went public in 1999.

Will Webvan 2.0 be as successful as the "I Get Money" 50 Cent remix featuring Jay-Z and Diddy? forbes.com/sites/laurende…
