1/4 At the end of March, Fauci/Birx relied on IHME’s national model which was based partially on their NY model which was demonstrably flawed: It expected 10,900 ICUs by April 2 when NY’s daily ICU count rose a fraction the amount needed to hit 10,900. When April Second came
2/4 around and NY was at 3,700+ ICUs (meaning, IHME’s model from a week earlier was off by 310%), IHME simply pushed back Apex by a week to April 8 and said that the ICU high point will be almost 12K. This was done despite having now a full week showing ICU rising much less than
3/4 what was needed to hit 12K in a week. Few if any “Sunday Shows” or @whca members asked Fauci about this glaring data flaw. The same goes for Cuomo’s “I need 30K ICU’s in 14-21 days.” With every passing day, the ICU count rose only a fraction of what was needed to hit those
4/4 numbers by April 6-13th as I have tweeted then and as I have tweeted since then one thousand times. Instead of sticking to available data/science, too many in media elevated Fauci to troll Trump. Economy crushed. Now many media jobs are gone/reduced. You did it to yourself.
