For as long as he could remember, he had known he was going to be a preacher
He was born to preach the gospel, the words of life on his lips compels the attention of men and woman from all walks of life from the day he preached his first sermon at the age of 10
It was his destiny

His preordained path and he told everybody who cared to listen that he would one day preach the gospel of Jesus in such a unique manner that he wouldn’t have to fill churches every Sunday for forty years with unregenerated souls just so that he can be “Daddy” or “Bishop” over

God’s inheritance!
If Jesus could change the world from Judea in three years and six months of ministry, the template for effective ministry has been made available for anybody who cared enough to be a minister of the gospel!
Believe in the Lord Jesus-Get filled with the Holy

Ghost-make disciples by teaching them to do the same with a demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit!
It was his life goal
But the church wasn’t built to accommodate such goals!
Denominations want members
The number of people in the church is the yardstick through which

Success was measured!
Population also translated to money! The more people are in a denomination, the richer the denomination gets
Population also meant influence, governors and presidents don’t go to churches of 200 people to campaign
The more the crowd, the louder the statement

Of power and influence
The first church was scattered abroad and yet increased in relevance and power
The model of men huddling together as a statement of strength was first used in Genesis 11
It was carnal
Jesus didn’t build a denomination because he understood the limitation

Of religion mixed with the inordinate nature of man to rule other men!
It seemed we cannot rise above asserting dominion over other men and making a big deal of ourselves even in the name of Jesus!
He wanted to change all that, but how?
He studied the Bible with tears for many

Years!
Eventually he joined a church and became a pastor
He was restless in his spirit
It was what he was meant to be but not as he saw himself through the scriptures
It didn’t taste like fulfillment
It didn’t feel like a dream come through
It was stressful and it was a struggle

Twice he resigned as a pastor
It just wasn’t his thing
It just wasn’t his way
Everybody said “You must be an evangelist! Evangelists are the restless ones! They like to move from place to place and gather the crowd for the pastors to disciple. Many people also saw visions to him

But the Holy Spirit called him a teacher!
The Holy Spirit said “You will be a teacher of teachers and you will prepare many for their roles in Kingdom building with joy and gladness”
He dropped pastoring and became a Sunday School teacher, many people thought it was ridiculous

He felt so too!
It didn’t taste like fulfillment in any way
Where was the joy and gladness?
Who was he teaching?
Where were those he was supposed to prepare?
It was as if God was joking with his life
How could these things be?
And then he came across @twitter
Ironically the

day he joined, the first thing he saw was porn!
He logged out immediately and swore never to open the app again!
The Holy Spirit said “Ho and put my content on that platform! Nothing is evil in itself. The content you saw was posted by someone!
Go and post my content!
That was it

He started with scriptures
Verse by verse, he posted the Bible from Genesis to revelation in The Message, NLT, NIV, NKJV and KJV translations
He did it all day and night sometimes
He wanted to flood twitter with the Word of God and drown the devil’s voice
It was a war he must win

Sometimes he would post until twitter says “You cannot post any more content for today”
And then he saw a story thread and he was inspired!
He started writing testimonies and sharing experiences of the power of God!
And there was a spark
The deep attracted the deep and the Holy

Spirit found expression in the most unlikely of places!
The name of Jesus was noises abroad on his timeline and souls were won!
Real people with real challenges were drawn to him and he showed them Christ! Just as he had always desired! A Christ without strings of religion
Glory

Many came to know the Son through Him, and many who are already in the Son on a religious level adjusted their lenses and became free as they ought to be all along!
He became a teacher of teachers
He tasted fulfillment with joy and gladness
Everything God told him came to pass!

PS: I have been asked many times by people if the stories on gbengawemimo.com were true stories! I usually smile and tell such people I will write their stories too and I usually do. It is always a delight to be asked to demonstrate the gospel in real and practical terms!

I do this everyday!
Now some months after starting @pssbcnigeria (Pneuma School of the Supernatural and Bible College) I am happy to announce that it has become as Christ demonstrated! My brothers and sisters are raising the dead and healing the sick everywhere and I am fulfilled

This was the gospel I saw in the Bible.
Many asked me when I will start a church, they assume I will make the same mistake of building a monument out of a movement.
I usually tell them I have been a pastor twice and I totally felt like a fish out of water in a suit and tie!

Is God showing you a vision? Something that feels totally impossible and unusual?
Don’t conform
God has a purpose for both our similarities and differences
Always remember that he gave you a unique vision for His glory
It may not make sense now but...
It will all come together
