The world-x-US infection count keeps climbing.

Their is a strong weekday pattern and today is the highest Monday ever. The all-time high was last Friday (May 15)

Some of this is more countries testing in greater numbers. Nevertheless, Covid-19 does not truly go away, and life does not return to normal, until this chart starts plunging.

And, the country with a big problem you're not hearing about? Iran

Turning to the US, the US less NY/NJ chart is still elevated. Today is the second highest Monday ever.

A lot of this is more testing (second chart). That said, if we want to return to concerts, ball parks and mass transit, this chart has to go down. For now it is not.

Where their is a definite downtrend is NY/NJ. But politicians in these states are not ready to ease up anytime soon.

What are we waiting for? A vaccine?

Conventional wisdom says 12 to 18 months away. But did you know that we have never developed a vaccine for any coronavirus? It is very hard.
