There are enormous challenges with Nigeria's health sector. Top of which is funding. Many health players are cash trapped. COVID has made it worse. HMOs don't pay on time, citizens can't afford to pay what healthcare is worth. And this applies to all segments of the value chain.
SMEs in the health sector-pharmaceuticals, clinics, gyms, labs, blood bank, wellness center, etc have been badly hit by COVID. This is why I'm excited to share when I see funding opportunities for health players. Cash is king. So I'm all for systemic support for liquidity to SMEs
The CBN just announced a 100billion intervention fund in form of quick loans to SMEs in the health sector to finance working capital or assets/equipment, to be repaid for as long as 10YRS!! They've also reduced interest rate to 5%, with 1year moratorium! How can you access this?
