Don’t go to online zoom college next year. Take the year off. Follow these 5 tips.

1) Read stuff. Start with what deeply interests you & what matters. Read different kinds of stuff about it. Keep searching for better/deepe/older books. Ask for recs. Think about what you read.
2) Talk about what you read. Whether you read stuff with friends (ideal) or not, find people who are interested in the things you are reading about and talk to them about it. Also contact authors, experts, and people who should know something out of the blue and ask and talk.
3) Get the hell out there (just of your social bubble, even) and talk to different kinds of people. If you can, travel a bit. Talk to lots of different kinds of people in lots of different places, ask them lots of questions, and learn to listen to what they say.
Take a low level job. If you can, get a low level job in a field that interests you and start learning from people living it doing what you are most interested in. Apply all the above to that environment. But even if it’s a s—t job, same applies. Use it as an observable class.
5) Realize no college is going to give you a life or career that fulfills you, so now is the time to learn how to pursue these things yourself. Learn how to *do* some specific skills but also how to *think* about what way of life is best & how to achieve it in this crazy world.
I'll add 6) Unless you know exactly why you are going to a specific college to study specific things with specific people, why eagerly waste all that money on online education? Why not take a year to educate yourself and figure out more exactly what you want, where - and why.
