Made the mistake of reading this brutal letter to the Sheriff of Harris County, TX before sleep. Sharing horrors faced by those incarcerated. Begging for action. "These deaths now stand as a harbinger of the death & loss that is to come should your office take no further action." 
"Arnold Hall was the first person to die in your custody from Covid-19. 55 y/o & suffered from pre-existing medical conditions, including severe mental illness & struggles with drug addiction. Mr. Jerome Nebuwa died in custody because he could not afford to pay money bail."
"Men living in a pod together have not been provided w/ basic cleaning supplies. Since these men raised concerns about having to use the same mop and broom being used by persons already infected or exposed to COVID-19, staff have refused to provide any mops or brooms."
"Their shower, toilet, & living area are unsanitary & dangerous. Haven’t received soap in over a week & a half. Thin masks haven’t been replaced in a month. Impossible to socially distance in their 24-person pod. They haven’t seen any sunlight in days."
"A type-one diabetic who requires daily insulin shots has seen his health deteriorate. He has passed out and completely lost consciousness three times since being booked into custody, because of the jail’s failure to treat his diabetes properly."
