@WhoWouldWin13 One thing that needs to be considered for this fight is that both characters...are actually not omnipotent. They may seem this way, but not only does Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet have limits (He can't use it in some universes, and its power can't compare to that of The One Above All
@WhoWouldWin13 who is truly omnipotent), but one of the Q who appeared on an episode of Star Trek Voyager admitted that the Q were not actually omnipotent, reminding Tuvok that the starship Voyageur would be like a god to primitive aliens.

Thus, they are only "near" omnipotent.
This would
@WhoWouldWin13 be an interesting clash, but there are some things we need to take not of.

Not only is Q far older (2000 years old, twice Thanos' age), he is FAR more experienced with such cosmic powers. Thanos has only has such powers for a short amount of time with the infinity gauntlet.
@WhoWouldWin13 We also have to consider speed. Both characters can alter reality and time with the snap of a finger. However, who can do this faster? If this was the movie Thanos, then I would say Q, but this is the comic book version, and Thanos, with enormous super strength, could potentially
@WhoWouldWin13 move his fingers far more quickly, and thus snap his fingers faster than Q. However, he is never shown to be using such great speed to do so (though its not impossible that he is using super speed when he snaps his fingers).

Another thing we have to consider is the Gauntlet
@WhoWouldWin13 itself, which is the source of Thanos' power. Q will realize this quickly, and if Silver Surfer can nearly tear the gauntlet off Thanos' hand (bad luck kept him from doing so, not Thanos), and if Warlock can stop a gauntlet wielder by simply touch the gauntlet (which remembers
@WhoWouldWin13 his touch), then why can't Q zap the gauntlet away or put it on himself with the snap of a finger? True, Thanos defeated a horde of cosmic beings, each of which had godlike powers of their own, as well as Eternity (another supposed "omnipotent" being), but then again, it could
@WhoWouldWin13 be argued that Q is far more powerful than all of those entities...combined.

Personally, I think Q will assess the situation with his powers, use them to recognize the source of Thanos' powers, and after a short clash...snap the gauntlet away.

Thus, I conclude:
@WhoWouldWin13 Q SENDS THANOS TO THE CONTINUUM!!!!!!!
