The Trump era has empowered this ugly racism to be given a home in my party. It must be repudiated. Not qualified, not excused, not ignored. It must be repudiated clearly, boldly & definitively.
I have said that the Trump era has moved me from working to save the Republican Party to fumigating it. This situation is precisely what I mean.If the @CAGOP does not renounce this candidate and this campaign it’s complicit in the vulgar racist underpinnings that make hate thrive
Ted Howze represents the nationalist party of Donald Trump, not the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln. The party is not big enough to hold both views.
It’s time for Republican Leadership to decide which party it represents - now is a time for choosing.

As whites become a smaller share of the population, white identity is becoming an angry, aggrieved, destructive rallying cry that is wielded to punish themselves and the rest of us.
Sociologists have documented for years that a loss of status - real or perceived - can lead to suicidal or homicidal tendencies. Whites are clearly demonstrating these behaviors.
