If anyone was expecting Bromley Council actually to reach a decision this evening on the future of The Porcupine, Mottingham they are going to be sorely disappointed as the item has been withdrawn due to the Government issuing new statutory guidance on pavements. What a surprise.
The exact reason can be found at .
The council is now going to bring in an independent traffic consultant. Are decisions ever made by the council or are they experts in kicking decisions into the long grass? #porcupine #mottingham #welovethebluehoarding

5th Chislehurst Christmas Card post is back!

This Christmas let 5th Chislehurst Scout Group arrange delivery of your Christmas cards throughout the UK.

Here's how it works:
1.Download an Order Form at 5thchislehurstscoutgroup.webeden.co.uk/christma…/ (or pick one up from Roses Florist or jdm Estate Agents after 1st December).

2.Take your Order Form, Christmas cards and payment to Roses Florist, 4 Royal Parade, Chislehurst, BR7 6NR or
jdm Estate Agents, 41 High Street, Chislehurst, BR7 5AE. Seal these items in a plastic envelope (available at Roses and jdm) and post in the scout post box. If you are unable to get to Roses or jdm, ring us on 020 8468 7945 and we’ll pick up your cards and payment from you.

Following ANOTHER accident on Saturday evening and YET ANOTHER this evening at the mini-roundabout on #Chislehurst Common, we would like to remind anyone who's listening that we came up with a solution in 2014 - block the roundabout approaches and the Ashfield Lane turning.
Four years on and the only things that have changed are that we have some coloured chevrons at the Ashfield Lane turning (that everyone drives over), more accidents and more hospitalisations. These are B roads and local access roads that are not designed for through traffic. Image
Our suggestions would make for a very pleasant open green space in the heart of Chislehurst. Maybe the residents of Chislehurst could start implementing the blocks themselves? If we're going to have flytippers like at the top of Old Hill today, let's have some useful flytipping!
