I am on a mission to find out which historical Member of Congress had the wildest facial hair.

The Honarable George Frederic Kribbs (D-PA, 1893-1895) is currently leading in the standings.
The Congressional Facial Hair Competition is heating up!!

The Honorable William Alfred Peffer (Senator, Populist-KS, 1891-1897) enters the ring!
Remember, it's not always about the chin; sometimes it's about the muttonchops.

Left: Hon. Elijah Adams Morse, Rep., D-MA, 1889-1897
Right: Hon. Martin Nelson Johnson, Rep & Sen, R-ND, 1891-1899, 1909
Final round (for now):

The Waterfall - Hon. Jonathan Ross, Sen, R-VT, 1897-1901

The Densest Beard You've Ever Seen - Hon. Joseph Ransdell, Rep. & Sen, D-LA, 1899-1931

Maybe the Winner? - Hon. Theodore Poole, Rep., R-NY, 1895-1897
P.S. I think if I make my boyfriend look at another old photo of a bearded member of Congress I'll be booted off the couch... but this one NEEDS TO BE SEEN

(Hon. Louis Charles Latham, Rep., D-NC, 1881-1883 & 1887-1889)
Hon. Kittel Halvorson (Rep., Populist-MN, 1891-1893) only served one term in the House, but he looked good for that one term!

(I call this one the Upside Down Bunny Ears. I looked through 2,614 photos for this. Worth it!)
Since everyone enjoyed this thread so much, here are nine Members that received honorable mentions in the Congressional Facial Hair Competition!
