How to get #verified.

I am not an expert by any means.

But it took me 4 tries.

Each time I adjusted something that I think got me closer.

I thought I would share a few insights about how I think I got #verified so you can also.

Why?

The power of this platform is undeniable.

Now more than ever, the voices of our collective expert medical community needs amplification.

Too many out there remain #notverified who should be.

Here’s the form. And a few tips...

Tip #1 – Work on your profile.

✅Identifiable picture

✅Location accurate

✅Link to your institutional profile page

✅Account e-mail matches institutional email

Tip #2 – Work on your content. (I’m pretty sure they scroll through your thread)

✅Stick with medicine or science

✅Be professional

✅Keep the humor coming but related

✅Work on minimizing typos (I’m still learning)

Tip #3 – Synchronize information on all your professional pages (i.e. - same institutional email). And share these on your form.

✅LinkedIn

✅ResearchGate

✅Google Scholar

✅Other

Tip #4 – Provide up to date information in the form.

✅Current organization and title (same as the one on the other pages)

✅List publications that have your current affiliation

Took me about 2 weeks after my last application to get verified.
