No—people need to know that authors on the left are working their *asses* off to create responsible, fully fact-checked work, while men on the right like @PeteHegseth are promoting violent filth like what I just quoted. I don't know how Center Street Publishing lives with itself.
PS/ Put aside my books for a moment. My point is that the left should be advocating for and promoting books by Unger, Corn, Leonnig, Woodward, Wolff, and many others with a ferocity we don't presently see—as otherwise the zone gets flooded with violent, end-times far-right filth.
PS2/ Trump is pushing Hegseth's book *hard*—he *wants* the narrative we're in a Holy War. He wants violence and a belief in the end-times and all that Hegseth is pushing sans *any* fact-checkers.

PS3/ We always say, implicitly, "I'll let Maddow push her book. She can do that well enough. She doesn't need me." But that's *not* what Trump does. That's not what Hegseth does. The effort to promote books is a *team effort* on the right. There's no such team effort on the left.
PS4/ Mind you, I'm realizing this for *myself* as well. I recommended Unger's book a ton, and Corn's book, and have written a lot about Wolff's books, and criticized—which I suppose was still an airing of details about—Woodward's book. But I ask myself now, couldn't I do *more*?
