Understanding local infection trends is key to targeting case based interventions, and controlling outbreaks; and knowing which communities and people are at risk. Our new tool is called the CV19 Lab Testing Dashboard and is powered by data feeds from hc1. cdn.hc1.com/docs/covid-19/…
Our aim is to provide one measure of infection risk within communities. The LRI is meant as an estimate of whether Covid incidence is expanding or contracting in communities by evaluating near real time testing results at county level.
A higher LRI is one indication of an increased incidence of disease. This dashboard is based on testing data reported from community level testing sites, including commercial labs. It attempts to provide insights from labs, who are sharing the results directly with the platform.
The data is made available to us through a collaboration with hc1 and the comes from more than 20,000 lab ordering locations from a coalition of laboratories performing nearly 40 percent of the nation’s laboratory testing. hc1.com
