Indian reinforcements of the posts are based on military assessments. For eg, how vulnerable is the KM120 bridge to the access from the Galwan Valley and the Chinese military deployment across the LAC? A bit about KM120 bridge on DSDBO road, and the post there has been reinforced
The meetings between Indian and Chinese military commanders on the ground have yielded no results so far. Another one met the same fate on Sunday. It seems that the Chinese military commanders are not keen on talking and have made no clear demands so far.

I look at the area-wise data for Chinese transgressions on the disputed border for past five years, and find that 80% of the intrusions take place at four locations on the LAC, three of them in Eastern Ladakh. Pangong Tso is at the top with 25% incursions. indianexpress.com/article/india/…
2/n This is the data of the four places where 80% Chinese transgressions have been recorded since 2015. Pangong Tso (25%), Trig Heights (22%) and Burtse (19%) in Ladakh, and Dichu (14.5%) in Arunachal Pradesh.
At Pangong Tso, Chinese transgressions almost doubled from a five-year low of 72 in 2018 to 142 in 2019 - both in the waters of the lake, and its northern banks. There were 112 transgressions in 2017, and 164 and 77 in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

An indicator of Chinese assertion on the disputed border: Chinese transgressions across the LAC in Ladakh surged by 75% in 2019, first four months in 2020 sees another increase. I report, as tensions remain high between the two sides. indianexpress.com/article/india/…
The first four months of this year have already witnessed 170 Chinese transgressions across the LAC, including 130 in Ladakh. There were only 110 transgressions recorded in Ladakh during the same period in 2019. 2/n
There was a 75% surge in the Chinese transgressions in Ladakh in 2019 – 497 compared to 284 transgressions in 2018. Overall, there were 663 recorded Chinese transgressions in 2019 across the disputed India-China border, rising from only 404 transgressions in 2018. 3/n
