every day people say this. it isn't true. it was a local fox affiliate, not fox news. fox news is not subject to fcc regulation because it is a cable/satellite network. and frankly, the first amendment protects their right to be lying racist sacks of crap.

the right is far worse about clinging to lies and misinformation than the left, but we have an issue with it too
the ones about the media tend to bug me the most i guess because its a topic i know. no, fox doesnt have any special license to lie, and media outlets don't fill out some form saying "i am a news outlet and must adhere to these rules/standards." such things dont really exist.
theres probably some code of conduct from society of professional journalists, but there's no legally enforceable code. frankly, i would not want there to be. i do not want a world where the government determines news, not even if it would hurt fox.
the way to defeat right wing media is to build left wing media
