This tweet is pure hypocrisy and I'm going to tell you why. Emily Miller worked for Tom Delay and during that time met a man named Michael Scanlon. In March of 2000 Michael resigned from his position as Delay's comms director and joined Jack Abramoff's lobbying team.
Jan 2001 Michael Scanlon started his own PR firm. Emily and Michael became a couple and were engaged in September of 2001. Michael flew her around in private jets and they lived a very rich life. He bought her a $4.7 million dollar beach house. 
Emily was even able to quit her job to prepare for the wedding. Now I'm wondering where Emily thought all this wealth came from. He went from Comms Director to multi millionaire in a year? No. She must have known it was connected to Jack Abramoff. Abramoff was
very close with her former boss Tom Delay. The truth is Scanlon and Abramoff were scamming Native American Tribes with huge lobbying fees. Did Emily not know anything nefarious was going on?
Emily's dream of living the good life with her rich fiancé wasn't to be. A few weeks before the wedding he broke it off with her and a couple of months after that married a 24 year old waitress. Luckily Emily was able to land a job working for Colin Powell.
But as Deputy Press Secretary for Colin Powell she had some difficulties as well. Colin Powell was in an interview with Tim Russert on Meet the Press when Emily decided that because the interview had gone a few minutes longer than it was supposed to that she would interrupt.

It all went down from there. Emily became a sweetheart of the NRA when she told the story of someone robbing her. Her story changed multiple times and was said to become more and more exaggerated. She wrote a book and her love of guns gave her a niche.
I just thought I would share this with you. Emily attacked Beto for marrying rich when that was exactly what she would have done if she hadn't been jilted.
