I’ve been the face on a missing poster. It’s how I was rescued. The man who kidnapped me live-streamed himself abusing me and one of the viewers reported it. He recognized my face from the @missingkids poster that was shared around the world.

Today is #NationalMissingChildrensDay. It was first proclaimed on May 25, 1983 by President Ronald Reagan. International Missing Children’s Day was established in 2001.

On this same day, in 1979, 6-year-old Etan Patz, disappeared on his way to school. Though his body has not yet been found, it’s suspected that he was murdered the same day he was kidnapped.

His face was also one of the first to be on the milk cartons.

Today, we’re able to share posters globally online in seconds.

Children are missing all over the world. Please, whenever you see one of these posters, wherever you are in the world, pay attention, read about the case and SHARE IT.

YOU can be the reason a child is found.
