were at the centre of the Apartheid's arms money- machine. In April 2018, Open Secrets & @CALS_ZA laid a complaint against the banks with the OECD.

Last year the OECD NCPs ignored the bulk of the evidence presented to them, & dismissed the rest as ‘dated’. Needless to say we are dismayed at the impartiality & ineffectiveness of what is the only international mechanism to hold corporations accountable for human rights abuses.

In February 2018, Open Secrets alongside @CALS_ZA, @Corruption_SA, @FHRRights, @PARInstitute & @r2kcampaign hosted a People's Tribunal on Economic Crime. Focussing particularly on the Arms Trade in 3 eras: Apartheid, the 1990s #ArmsDeal & the #StateCapture years.
