6. The point of these lawsuits isn't necessarily to win in court. The GOP wins by creating fear and confusion, driving down turnout. That's why Trump claimed last week the ballots and applications being sent to voters in Michigan and Nevada were "illegal"

1. Democratic and Republican officials are blaming uprisings across the country on "outside agitators"

It is a gross oversimplification with an ugly racial history

It has been used repeatedly to marginalize grievances and to ignore systemic racism.
