It is a gross oversimplification with an ugly racial history

It has been used repeatedly to marginalize grievances and to ignore systemic racism.

UPDATE: On Wedneday, another Congressional candidate in Georgia, began running an Faceboook ad advocating violence

In the ad, Green cocks a semi-automatic rifle while she delivers a message to “ANTIFA terrorists”: “Stay the hell out of Northwest Georgia”

2. Like the ad from Paul Broun, Facebook did not do anything about this ad until I emailed them about it this afternoon.

A few hours later, the company removed it.

But, by then, it had already been shown 50,000 to 60,000 times to Georgia voters.

3. While Facebook removed the ad, they did not respond to my request for comment.

But they have a serious problem with politicians paying them money to distribute violent content.

1. On Saturday, Facebook began running an ad from Georgia Congressional candidate that urged people to shoot "looting hoards" with AR15s

A few hours later, the company removed it.

By that time, the ad had already been shown to 50,000 people in Georgia

1. The internal revolt at Facebook is the result of its contradictory messages colliding

Facebook has pitched itself to employees as a progressive & inclusive company

Meanwhile, its public policy team is run by GOP operatives focused on placating Trump
