2 years would allow time to:
- Stem the pandemic
- Let firms start getting back on their feet after months of disruption
- Rebuild Brexit stockpiles
- Finish hiring and training 50,000 new customs agents
- Train firms in what to expect
- Negotiate a fuller deal with the EU
- etc.

Extending doesn't stop Brexit. Nothing stops Brexit. We've already left the EU, for goodness sake!
But it would give us a fighting chance to get a bit more prepared for what's coming.
