Today @andrewrsorkin deserves our praise and a standing ovation for his confrontation this morning with Joe Kernen cnn.com/2020/05/27/med…
I pride myself in being truthful, fair and transparent. I try to criticize by category, but praise by individual (h/t Buffett). Sometimes
I cant..
Joe Kernen is a feckless fintv commentator who uses his @SquawkCNBC platform to bully - as he repeatedly has over the last six years to me in a steady and relentless stream of baseless ad hominem attacks. I have, in the past, gone directly to his boss, Mark Hoffman,
the President of CNBC Worldwide - as I did two weeks ago in his latest attack. (Hoffman seems to be a very good guy).
This morning, like many mornings, Kernen showed his colors.
Few of his fellow commentators will publicly chastise Kernen - as understandably @cnbc is a 'club'
and it would not be politic. However, several of his associates have directly contacted me today - they all recognize his attacks on me and others. While I have promised to maintain their anonymity, they are all in Andrew's corner and have applauded his integrity and straight
forward responses to Kernen this morning. As well, I have received private emails and calls from frequent @cnbc guests, who unlike me (I dont give a shit about appearing on the network) need to maintain their anonymity in order to continue to be invited guests on CNBC.
I understand and respect that perspective - their livelihood partially depends upon the invites.
No doubt Kernen will not suffer professionally, at least in his own mind - he will appear tomorrow as he has routinely for years at his desk at 6AM, almost as if nothing has
happened.
But others have observed, noticed and decided.
Joe, no matter how big one's house is our graves will always be the same size and our reputations will always be remembered.
We shape our buildings: thereafter they shape us.
Your foundation has crumbled.
