I really like @buffer, the company. That said, Buffer the product has made some choices lately that I actively dislike. Now with Twitter letting me schedule tweets natively, it's getting hard to justify remaining a customer.
Let me show you what I mean. I log in on desktop and provide my MFA code. I'm greeted by this survey with no option not to respond. I passive aggressively edit the URL to bypass. They passive aggressively prompt me at every login. I passive aggressively send this tweet.
"Analyze" used to be free. Now they want another $50 a month.

I am currently paying $65 a month for Buffer.
Why do I do this? Because I have a team of people who help with the @AWSMorningBrief and Screaming in the Cloud podcasts who draft tweets to promote the current episodes.

I use @buffer for its approval flow. This Twitter account is not for sale.
It lets my team submit tweets that I can edit, approve, reject. They're usually fine; I would scan and approve them.

Now I have to click "More" on each one. This is a recent change.
I've just described my entire @buffer use case. I'm done here. The product is very much not. It wants me to link the Facebook, and Instagram accounts I don't have, launch a social media "campaign," etc. All of this stuff is in the way when I'm trying to do my thing.
There are a number of product irritants that only a @buffer product manager would (presumably) care about, but that's not really relevant.

The thing is, I *like* the company! I want them to do well, and I don't mind paying them. They're making it harder to justify.
