Some businesses in downtown Minneapolis are boarding up their windows and doors after some windows were smashed last night.
Huge difference in the area of the 3rd precinct police station. This whole area was overrun with looters yesterday. Today we finally have police officers and the National Guard out in force.
More pictures of riot police and the National Guard keeping people out of the shopping area that was overrun with looters yesterday.
This is what the Cub grocery store looked like yesterday. Looters were all over the place and some were trying to break open an ATM.
I have seen National Guardsmen either having magazines inserted into the rifles or rifles without magazines inserted.
Some members of this crowd are starting to shout at the Minnesota National Guard and riot police.
One protester getting in the faces of the cops and National Guard, telling them: Y'all don't scare me!
As I was recording the National Guard and riot police falling back from their positions as the crowd began to throw projectiles at them, I got shot with a non-lethal weapon by riot police. I wasn't close to them and I was kneeling down with my phone in my hand.
🚨🚨🚨:The riot police and National Guard have completely abandoned the perimeter they had set up earlier. Rioters have chased them away.
