We did not see city lockdowns coming

We did not see city lockdowns effectively ending—not by Governor decrees but by nationwide street-filled protests turned riots against racist and/or abusive police

Whatever is next we do not see it coming

2/ WHAT MAY HAPPEN––in the days ahead....

I see 3 days of justifiable anger. + high emotions
that begin to abate as––

––cooler heads + ‘real’ leaders come out with wisdom + unifying words. What starts as text from Obama + others as give way to viral speeches akin to @KillerMike

- voices of leadership (black leadership) emerge and other (non black) voices part like red sea to give space + silence to amplify messages...

-Local leaders/movements begin sorting
legitimate peaceful PROTESTORS
from RIOTERS (looters/criminals/antifa/foreign instigators)

4/ Like Occupy Wall St there will be protest camps in some places––

all the more likely because many unemployed have a new sense of meaning + purpose and comraderie socially––some as legit social justice warriors
(NOT at all meant in pejorative sense as used derogatorily “SJW”)

5/ Occupy Wall Street lacked leadership + clarity
and had sub-factions from antifa to tea party to hard-left to anarchists.

Same will emerge here & balkanization of protests will marginalize the worst + least legitimate...

BUT––

6/ Some voice(s) we’ve never heard of get famous and get a platform (the ways Julian Assange or Alex Jones did in last chaos cycle).....

Meanwhile BIDEN––

7/ Biden has a historic opportunity to create unifying coalition (in non-politically exploitative way) w/diverse set of people to fight against 'a nation divided'.

(And a total reversal of fortune as COVID was at risk of suppressing support + campaigning efforts)

He can give––

the perfect speech of overcoming
the VIRUS of covid and
the VIRUS of hate.

that we need peace + unity to become not just
a ‘more perfect union’ nor a “United States”

BUT to return to a “United STATE––(a state of unity) of Americans”...

9/ Wildcard is of course: Trump who can't stand anyone else having spotlight––and/or foreign forces that fan flames in ways we can't see or anticipate.

Anything he touches will be tipping to more
authoritarian
controlling
supressive
‘dominating’
and inflammatory....

WHICH––

10/ given above#9 (more Trump driven authoritarian decrees) against the contrast of #2 (voices of calm + reason)

sets up bad situation––a group of innocent college-aged people killed by state/national guard––
