Really helpful thread on what to expect over the next year.

This is specific to the UK; I have some hope that the pandemic will be contained in Ireland - or at least that our path will be less bumpy.

But I think the beats might be broadly similar, esp Sept/Jan as crunch points
(A note: our schools aren't going back in June, thankfully, so hopefully we'll avoid that particular boost to infection rates)
I also agree with this part: I believe that medicine will ultimately dig us out of this.

Whenever I start losing faith, I go to medRxiv and look at the sheer *quantity* of work being done by people around the world.

We'll get there. Hold the line.

I should add: I should have described @harkaway's thread as being specific to England rather than the UK as a whole, given the divergence in approaches taken by Eng/Scot/Wales/NI. Regional variations (within England, within the UK, within Ireland) will continue to be important.
