Whichever side of politics you are on in India, to compare the experiences of Muslims in India and African-Americans is a sign of anti-blackness. No one in India went through what Black people did. Displacement and slavery make for a unique experience.
If they had read Black authors and poets at any time, I wouldn’t have to say this. Read ‘Beloved’ or ‘Their Eyes Were Watching God’ and then tell me you can make the comparison.
The ancestors of African Americans were brought in chains against their will. Millions died on the boats. It is obscene to compare them with those who claim descent from those who invaded and looted India. Have some shame.
