This country has had social uprest far longer than it's had the Constitution.
The claim that events like Boston and the later Whiskey Rebellion had been a function of erudite Locke scholars is nonsensical on its face and part of the Disneyization of history.
They were white trash who just wanted to be secure in their persons. They were, in the North, the n-words of their day. This is your heritage as an American and one you should be proud of--even the lowest of the low just wanted to be left the f alone.

You can't perceive black America as an accident of history but simultaneously say "get over slavery."
There is nothing virtuous about understanding why people would want their communities to work well, even when their antagonists are of the same race as them.
The claim that minority communities can or even should somehow be quarantined from the rest of the country is not tenable, as this week demonstrates.
You dont have to like or admire the protesters or think that they have a coherent thought to also appreciate that they are reacting to *something* real.
If the Cathedral programming doesnt work on you, consider maybe it doesn't work on them--even though they still vote Democrat.
