THREAD: I envy @AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug today. First, they're advancing science and technology and they may be ushering in a new era of space exploration with reusable private craft, something we desperately need to move forward as a civilization. worldofweirdthings.com/2018/11/11/why…
Second, the tech stack their rocket and capsule is using is something with which I've been growing more and more familiar over the last year so it gives me hope that one day, I may be writing code for spacecraft traversing the solar system and beyond. worldofweirdthings.com/2019/07/23/fut…
And third, and perhaps most importantly, they get to leave this planet and take a break from the willful, myopic, self-destructive insanity in which the people who run it decided to ensnare it. I really do hope the launch today is a success and best of luck to @NASA and @SpaceX.

Do NOT breathe hydrogen peroxide. You will damage your lungs. H2O2 is corrosive. Basically, if Mercola recommends you do something, just do the opposite because he’s a dangerous snake oil salesman and loon who makes money off your misery, anxiety, and illness.
For anyone doubting that H2O2 will harm you: you know when you apply some to a cut or a scrape and hear a faint hissing sound while seeing foam? It's literally eating away at your flesh. Now imagine what tiny particles of it will do when they enter your airway and lungs.

Trump decided that we didn’t need to prepare enough tests, that briefings were for chumps, and golf was more important than preparation for #COVID19. As a result, we have to use blunt measures that left over 10.3 million jobless. This is what happens when idiots run nations.
Would we have lost a lot of jobs anyway due to the virus? Absolutely. But could we have prepared and minimized both loss of life and livelihoods by ramping up testing and getting equipment to doctors and hospitals when other nations raised alarms? Of course. But we didn’t.
Instead, we were told that the virus was just the sniffles, that it was totally contained, and that it would magically disappear in April. Well, it’s April now and we went from 15 confirmed cases to 215,357 with 5,113 deaths. Golf, bullshit, and unhinged rants haven’t saved us.

THREAD: Yeah, this is about par for the course for MAGA Twitter. They don't want to spend time, money, and effort to fix their problems. They just want to feel better about those problems by saying that things are worse elsewhere, so they must be doing just fine. They're not.
The facts are that red states take in the most federal money and aid, have the most debt, and also have the least to show for it. On a county by county level, the economies of 500- blue counties are twice the size of those of the 2,600+ red counties despite similar populations.
Red states are also disproportionately affected by opioid addiction and tend to have lower life expectancy than blue states. The culprits are usually poor access to healthcare, both logistically and financially, drug abuse, and suicide from depression and stress.
