We keep rising, only to be met with more trauma inflicted by the nation built by traumatizing us. It’s hard to see a nonviolent way, but it is there, focused on what can be when history is faced, when true peace (which includes justice) is the goal...
...and when we rise up with determination that we will no longer be destroyed, not even by self-destruction. Rest in power to our people who died by racist massacre.

🧵Today, we commemorate #Juneteenth, a day that acknowledges the emancipation of the last enslaved Black people in the United States. This day, also known as #FreedomDay, represents a pivotal moment in our nation's history—
a step towards justice, equality, and the recognition of our shared humanity.
As we celebrate this historic day, let us remember the words of my father:
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” #MartinLutherKingJr
Juneteenth is not only a day to reflect on the past but also a time to renew our commitment to fighting for justice and equality. Let us use this day to educate ourselves, engage in meaningful conversations, and take actions that contribute to a more just and inclusive society.
