At 2 a.m. last night I woke up to the sound of cars crashing, flash bangs, & rubber bullets being shot...

The first thing I see when I open my eyes is cops in full riot gear shining flashlights through my window.

They went from window to window trying to see inside my apartment

I was very freaked out, so I dropped to the floor as fast as I could.

I started army crawling to my front window to see what was happening...

In my front yard there is a black SUV with no license plate.

I hear cops screaming. I hear some sort of confrontation.

I’d seen reports all day of white supremacists in a black SUV with no license plate.

So I’m thinking, “there are white supremacists and cops having a stand off in my front yard”

The cops seem to think the people from the SUV are in my place, and now the cops are trying to get inside my apartment.

My neighbor goes to find out what was going on...

The cops tell her “the person driving the SUV tried to run us over, and lost control of their car. We apprehended one of them.”

I pick up both my cats, go to my room and lock the door.

I did my best to barricade the windows, and tried to fall back asleep.

This morning I step out & start talking with my neighbors.

Apparently there were tons of cops in my street last night indiscriminately shooting rubber bullets at every car that passed by.

Whenever a car would drive by they would yell “curfew” and shoot it up with rubber bullets

My neighbors tell me the SUV that ended up in my front yard was shot at by the police about 10 times before losing control and crashing into my roommate’s car.

The SUV came within feet of crashing into our building.

The couple across the hall from me have a newborn baby.

I’m so thankful that they are okay.

Hearing the car crash, my neighbors down the block step onto their porch to see what happened.

They asked the police what was going on, and the police shot both of them with rubber bullets.

I’m still processing this a bit.

There’s a few more details I’d like to share but I need to figure out what the best way to go about doing that is...

Long story short:

This started as us seeking #JusticeForGeorge, and that’s still what it is.

But now I’m gonna need more than that...

Now we need some justice for the city of Minneapolis.

The cops that have been wreaking havoc on our door steps have to be held accountable for the damage they are doing to this community.

Not only should there be charges (and convictions) for the 4 officers that murdered George Floyd.

There should also be charges for:

- every cop that shot tear gas at a child’s head

- every cop that hit a journalist with a Night Stick

- every cop that shot rubber bullets at Minnesotans peacefully sitting on their porch

- every cop that maced us and our friends and neighbors and loved ones for no reason

There should be charges for every single police officer that has terrorized the Twin Cities for the last 5 days.

For about 3 hours last night I legitimately thought that my life could be taken by a police officer or white supremacist...

I only felt that fear for THREE HOURS & was completely shook.

Many are forced to live with that same fear every day of their life.

That has to change.
