"STRENGTH!" the president tweets, above a QAnon account that's been banned from twitter in the 19 minutes since he retweeted it.
The account the president just retweeted last night posted a video with the caption "rain hell on these animal thugs @realdonaldtrump."
The tweet the president retweeted by an account that's since been suspended by Twitter was just a compendium of QAnon rallying cries bookending a Reagan quote.

"We are the calm before, during & after the storm" and "WWG1WGA."

“Stifling free speech” here is appending more speech (a tiny flag from Twitter) below his speech.
It was always headed towards this precise moment.

Social media companies didn’t understand that, no matter how much they capitulated and ceded principles to bad faith narratives, they would be made into boogeymen by those who use grievance as a political weapon.
The political strategy is to work the refs so persistently, even when there’s no call to be made, so you can eventually commit flagrant offenses and still claim the game is rigged.

The point is to break obvious rules and complain so much the refs give up on regulating either.

None of these social media companies have consistent rules.

They have vague guidelines that are implemented post facto based on how powerful the person is who breaks them.
Eventually, if you break somebody's rules flagrantly enough and consistently enough and to great enough effect, you don't get banned or suspended, you just have dinner together.
