The best admonition every Muslim requires every second of his life is to be told اتَّقِ اللّٰهَ "Fear Allāh". Of all Allāh's creature, no one fears him more than the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, yet Allāh admonished him saying, يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ

Sadly, it is the most disgusted admonition to an average Muslim today. He feels insulted and ridiculed to be admonished with the phrase even when he's doing evil. He immediately fumes and retorts, "what do you mean! Fear Allāh, you, too!"

The Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

وأبغض الكلام إلى الله أن يقول الرجل للرجل : اتق الله ، فيقول : عليك بنفسك

"The most hated of speech to Allāh is for a man to say to another "Fear Allāh" & he retorts, "Mind your own self."

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ أَخَذَتۡهُ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ بِٱلۡإِثۡمِۚ فَحَسۡبُهُۥ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَلَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ

And when it is said to him, "Fear Allah", he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest
