Today we had a Zoom call with @warikoo and it was one of the best mentorship sessions ever.

We thought that this advice could help other founders/PMs too, so, we've tried to summarize it.

Here are our learnings: <thread>
1/6 If most of the people do not find your idea absolutely trash and impossible - it has likely been done before, look for reasons why it didn't work.

There's often an insight that has been missed/overlooked upon. You'll find that insight if you go into the details.
2/6 Thousands of people would've thought the exact same idea and gone on to execute it too. But there are reasons why it failed.

And those reasons are with the founders who started in the same industry and failed. You can get to know them, if you just ask.
3/6 There are two ways of getting everyone's eyeballs on your product if it requires high trust :

i. Generating buzz to create trust - This works well in high trust nations like US.

ii. Creating trust to generate buzz - This works well in low trust nations like India.
4/6 One of the fastest way one can get to product-market fit is to build products that closely emulate the solutions people use when they don't know your product, and make those solutions a lot better.

Changing fundamental behavior is difficult.
5/6 Our education system teaches us to find solutions to problems and that's the reason why we're naturally obsessed with our solutions.

In entrepreneurship, being obsessed with a problem is what's actually required. Solutions keep on changing with time.
6/6 The market does not give a shit about your degrees/the amount of effort you've put in or anything about you.

They care if your product can solve their problem.
Thanks a lot once again @warikoo to talk to us! Every second of the call had so much value. And, I have to say, never seen someone so humble as you given what you've achieved in your life.

Onwards and upwards to create something people love!
