Last week, a man with diabetes went on a 7 day hunger strike and 40 people returned inadequate food to the canteen in protest.

When people bravely protested they were told the food would improve "in a few weeks' time". But the next day the people who protested were given this for their 'main meal'. As a punishment for daring to complain.

Urban Housing Services own and run Urban House as
part of the £1.15 billion Mears Group contract for asylum accommodation. Urban Housing Services are in turn owned by the Citrus Group, headed by millionaire CEO Anton Curtis

We are calling for the closure of Urban House and for residents be housed in safe and dignified accommodation. People are forced to share rooms making social distancing impossible and there is no PPE for residents.
