All these people who say it's impossible to get burnout and compassion fatigue and it's all an excuse to not help 24/7 are people who have not advocated for longer than a week. And also can't read. I said "it happens over time." Stay active long enough and you will feel it.
"You're privileged if you take a break."

Nobody is stopping YOU. Keep going. Go to a protest everyday. Help people everyday. Don't stop. Keep advocating, keep calling, donating, speaking up, posting. For a whole month, 6 months, a year. And then tell me you aren't exhausted.
Advocacy isn't "I believe in all of this." It's going out there and putting work into your belief. So if you've put work into your belief for a LONG time and don't need a break? Good on you, man. You're resilient. But you are not better than the people who need to take a breath.
