Two Republicans in Congress have tweeted out calls for Americans involved in riots to be executed. They will, most likely, later claim to have been "just joking" or that their words were "misconstrued." Republicans will accuse those who object to this rhetoric of being fake news.
And now, Press Secretary McEnany is describing how a "central command center" will be deployed to oversee U.S. military operations inside the U.S., and that the President wishes to "dominate the streets with the National Guard."
Between the President's calls for "total domination", curfews that lock everyone in their homes while the sun still shines, and small groups of peaceful protesters met with lines of riot police ready for battle, what room is left for peaceful protests?
