I don't know who it was that made the call in DC not to enforce Mayor Bowser's dangerous and pointless curfew for the second and third evenings that it was in place, but whoever it was may have saved lives, and absolutely saved people from serious cop-inflicted injuries.

People are protesting because police are brutal and abusive, so De Blasio's solution is to give them even greater power to be brutal and abusive, and then get performatively mad about it on Twitter when the police take him up on the offer.
