Long line of truancy vans lined up on 14th St like the cops are going to start hauling people away soon.
Cops have protested boxed in at 15th and Swann. One threatening to pepper spray us. Way more cops tonight th an last night.
Cops moving in with billy clubs
Oh this ain’t good. Cops in padded suits and clubs moving in.
A resident in Swann just let a tin of protesters run through their house to escape the cordon as cops started moving in yelling “move on back.”
Cops just arrested a guy who ran through the barricade. This is a peaceful protest for the most part.
It’s not clear there is any good way for this to end. Protesters are totally boxed in with nowhere to go.
If all these cops just went home this protest would fizzle out in a heartbeat

There are now more rubberneckers out here than protesters. All violating the curfew. Waiting for the violence to start.
Instead of fires and tear gas this protest is ending with a whimper as cops arrest protesters one at a time. No one resists.
A dirty little secret about protests in DC: sometimes the cops and protesters meet ahead of time and work out the numbers. The protesters want to get arrested and the cops oblige them. It’s a misdemeanor and you don’t even need bail to get out of jail.
