Deputy Treasury Sec. Justin Muzinich could get his shares in the family business back when he leaves the Treasury — presenting a significant conflict of interest.
In his 1st year in the Trump admin, Muzinich still owned his stake in the family firm while he met with business executives to discuss tax provisions. We obtained some of Muzinich’s calendars through our investigation into Trump admin officials.

While Muzinich’s calendars show no meetings with labor unions or progressive groups, his calendars covering February to September 2017 show many meetings with private equity firms, energy company CEOs, and interest groups.
