A thank you and update. The Exist Loudly Fund is now at £20,000 and the extra funds will be used to create a grant so Queer Black British Young people will be able to apply for financial grants.

In Dec 2019 I raised £7500 for queer Black Christmas & less than a year later I’ve crowd funded almost £30,000.

I now have the funds to run a pilot programme for Queer Black Young people, along with QueerBlackChristmas and a grant for young people to access to financial support!

My socials are a mess right now but I’ll spend the next week getting back to everyone, I honestly never expected this. The crowdfunder has been up for less than 24 hours. It’s mad

As the go fund me is almost at £50,000 (less than £2k away) I think it’s imperative I share with you all my commitments and begin a journey of transparency with all of those who have donated to the Exist Loudly Fund

Over the next month, I will be sharing with you all how I have allocated the budget and what the first steps for Exist Loudly are. This is no different when getting corporate or governmental funding, expect now I’m holding myself accountable to community

Im trying to create sustainable change and tangible impact in our community. This will take time, research and care to ensure it will be executed properly.

Along the way I’m hoping to create a model of transparency that will allow you all to see exactly how and where your donations are going. Hopefully said model will influence how other organisations and charities also share their work.
