How do you "do justice?" Start where you are. Don't be so paralyzed by the scale of the problem that you simply do nothing. The work of racial justice needs lawyers and journalists, and also gardeners and theologians. #RacialJustice
My prayer tonight is for the poets to continue to write their poems. And for the artists to continue to paint their canvases. And for the preachers to continue to craft their sermons. Protest where you are, with your God-given skills and talents. #RacialJustice
Some can march and rally. But we also need folks writing op-ed letters. And sewing masks. And paying for bail. And caring for children of essential workers. And reading books to counter the miseducation you received about race in this country. #RacialJustice
Resist doing nothing because you don’t know what to do. #RacialJustice
