Here’s one other thing I’d like to say & then I’ll shut up for the day. I know what it’s like to not want to offend. I want people to like me. I know what it’s like to reckon with the very real repercussions & backlashes & be tempted instead to tiptoe around or play both sides.->
But the truth is, it gets better when you just make up your mind, put a stake in the ground & say, this is where I stand. Yes, there will be backlash. Yes, if you care about this kind of thing, you absolutely will lose followers. You’ll be labeled. You’ll be snubbed. BUT you will
have something no money can buy. You will have something that will give your head more peace upon your pillow at night than a sleep aid.
You will have integrity.
You’ll be true to what you believe from the inside out.
Relieved of the burden of duplicity. You will be free.
